Hi, my name is Ender and i am an ex-wage slave.
I hold a Master of Science degree in Software Engineering from the top university in Turkey, Boğaziçi University. Between 2000 and 2024, I worked in the software development industry, holding various roles such as software developer, software engineering instructor, software development manager, software project manager, and technical product owner.
In addition to my day job, I started a web publishing side hustle in 2016 by acquiring a website. At the time, the site was attracting about 3,000 daily users. I put in a lot of effort—focusing on SEO, content development, and more—and within a year, the site grew to about 10,000 daily users.
Over time, the traffic and revenue fluctuated, but at its peak (remember the COVID pandemic? 😊), the site was receiving 50,000 daily users. Currently, it gets about 15,000 daily users. This kind of success is uncommon in the web publishing business. That first website has been a blessing, providing a steady revenue stream that allowed me to reinvest in other websites. Honestly, I’m not sure if I would have continued in the web publishing business if my first site had been a failure.
Since 2016, I’ve owned and managed several websites, earning a substantial income alongside my day jobs.
Over time, I saved and invested more money, scaled my web publishing hustle, and—thanks to God—reached a point about 5–6 years ago where I no longer needed a 9-to-5 job to live comfortably. In October 2020, I finally quit my day job and became fully self-employed. I don’t know what the future holds, but I’m not looking for another job—and it seems unlikely I’ll ever have one again. After 24 years as an employee, I think I’ve done more than enough!
